    Default Horseshoe

Have the day off tomorrow and haven't totally made up my mind but may end up at Horseshoe tomorrow. Never fished it and always wanted to try it out. Have a couple of questions for those that know the lake. How many public ramps are there and where are they located? Couldn't seem to see them on google maps. Also, if the forecast holds true (I know that is always a stretch), which part would be best to launch in and fish with a SW wind at 10mph? I fish out of a 1648 WarEagle so not too worried with a 10mph wind but if it starts getting to the 15-20 I would want a easy way to bail!! Thanks in advance.

I put in off 147 (horseshoe circle) it's the very south end of the lake, if you look at Google maps and zoom in on the lake, it's right across from mud lake. The only other one. that we have put in at is Kamp carefree. It cost 5 or 7 dollars to put in and I don't think it's as nice of a ramp. The first one mentioned is free. Hope this helps.

The one on the south end is good to launch from on a south or southwest wind. It is one mile from the Hwy 38/Hwy 147 junction.
