When the Smoke Cleared And the Guns Quit Blazeing On OverCup/Brewer

Wow... What a great tourney and turn-out on Lakes Overcup and Brewer as the winning teams spider rigged their way to Glory, with all the winning weights coming off a small section of Lake Overcup. It's always fun to look over and see your competition net several beautiful slab's through out the day. LOL It was a very hot day out there and I was very proud of our Club Members...we had 17 entries and several more show up to watch the weigh-Ins. Big Congrat's too all that showed up and put it on the line in balmy condition's. Myself and Greg were stopped from winning that third tourney in a-row by two of the very best in the state, Dustin & Kelley who did a Great Job bringing em In.

Myself and Greg were able to bring in the Big Fish on Overcup for a second year in a-row and a second tourney in a-row. The last two years the big fish has came in on Overcup on a Blue and White Minnow critter tipped with a Big Minnow (See Picture). I think this one was a Hi-bred now that I look at the Pic?

Guys I love these tourneys and the folks who show up to fish them...Myself and Greg Like to win these things but first and foremost it's the fellowship and learning from some of the best and most dedicated crappie anglers I know...We enjoy the most. I am seeing this club grow and I hope to see more of you show up and fish with us.

It's always fun Russ and Overcup will fool you with the beautiful fish it holds!! I doubt I will see you guys at Nimrod, but you might want to look over your shoulder at Pine Bluff. I may be able to make that one.

Bobby it will be a crap shoot on Lake Nimrod , come on down break out the cranks and bring some of those big slabs you catch to the scales, I think you'll be surprised how well you do and how good of a fisherman you really are, no need to be afraid , we all put are pants on one leg at a time, just a bunch of guys gettin together that enjoy crappie fishin and a little competition, as Russ said we had a great turnout and it was a fun day from the start to the finish, thanks to all who came out a fished and help support our club, "your club" we are Central Arkansas Crappie Association ,come on out a be a part of the this great group as we grow and be a part in making this club one of the largest crappie fishing clubs in the country!!!!!!!

I have to agree, one of the best ran tournament trails in the country! Thankfully I didn't have to do much singing as promised and even taught a few about the Indian weather rock, lol. Come on out and enjoy the good times and hope to see everyone at the next one!
