    Is it worth the extra $50 to get this for my HDS?

    Absolutely Bobby! Although, I'm not sure I'll be on the water before you though. Perhaps you can come over sometime soon and we can "inventory" what's in my new pond.

    You can use the card OFF the water as well as on. Put it in your machine, stop the sonar and imaging from pinging, and zoom in on the lakes you want to fish with the navigation screen and look at the Structure to find places and patterns you want or like to fish. They don't show much Cover, but the contours are there to examine.
