    Default mellwood

river is dropping pretty fast but I always heard when it approches13 ft at memphrica close your store and head to Mellwood. Fast drop May screw it up.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The sheep live in fear of the wolf but in the end it's the shepherd that eats them.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes click when it is supposed to go bang and

always found it to be good anywhere from 12-16 ft at Memphis as long as it wasn't rising or falling to fast !!! problem is you can hardly ever catch it stable for more than a few days and never to where timing is right for the weekend only angler

Ive shot a passel of ducks off mellwood when its real cold and ive heard the fishin is good but havent seen it. I have however partied on the floating docks and had a local pull a shotgun on me during the flood of 97 and shot the chute on many occasions. Neat part of the world.

The river has been falling more than 2 feet a day for the past few days. That's not good for the bite. I doubt it's real good right now. I'm headed down to our camp today and will probably run over there and check it out. As fast as this water has fell, not sure Ron has had time to get the logs off the ramp yet either.
