Default Hand ling Walleyes: Does this technique get used at all on the rivers in Arkansas?

Many years ago, I was a member of their Field Staff and these are two of the greatest guys you could ever meet. Dave has hand-lined for years. I'm curious if this technique would be applicable on the rivers down south.

Very interesting and I think I know a river where that might work.

My dad and I won a MWT walleye tournament in the late 90's hand lining in the Detroit river. He did it as a kid, it all pretty much started out there. Its a pretty fun way to fish, it's definitely just you and the fish. My Dad actually is co-owner of Riviera Trolling Systems, the company that manufactures the hand line reel they are using on the show. I haven't seen anyone doing it standing up like they are though, usually you are sitting facing forward. It's definitely an old school way to fish, but can be very effective, especially if the water is dirty.
