    Default Thunder Thumpin!

Had a few hours to fish this morning before hitting the road to Springfield for my kid's Junior Bible Quiz regional meet. The day started off mostly sunny, but that only lasted about thirty minutes. The fish didn't seem to mind though, and as the weather turned sour the bite heated up! At one point the rain was so heavy I couldn't see, and I'm pretty sure I got pelted by a few dime-sized hail stones. Couldn't leave em biting though, and caught my three biggest fish during this time. Gotta love the rain!! Borrowed a pose from JPJ.

You know what they say, "when the going gets tough"..... Obviously, you toughed it out and caught some nice fish. That is really cool that your kids participate in a bible quiz. It sounds like mom and dad are doing a great job.

Way to hang with them. Good luck to the kids.

Definitely different than the lakes around here. To much structure and areas to pick from. Nearly had the lake to ourselves that day. I'm going to have to make another trip once the weather is more stable..

Better get on em pretty soon. They have been on a post-spawn pattern for the last week or so. Won't be long before the Whites pack up and move to Nimrod!

I can't catch fish in the rain. Ain't nobody to follow except Chris and he's down there and I'm up here.
