Lake Nimrod advise

My son and I are going to make our first trip to Nimrod tomorrow. I have been told to launch at Sunlight Bay and go right of boat launch and fish in the brush at 3 to 4 feet deep. Any other areas that I might try. Thanks for info.

Water jumped 3' and main lake brushpile bite shut down. You might find some stranglers in the brush but major spawn over . Rising water can hurt Crappie fishing when it first quickly rises. They tend to scatter leaving deep brush piles. Not been up in Sunlight for a good while because water quaility has been awful from flooded woods earlier.

Thank you for the information. Amazing amount of structure to fish around. Once the water falls back to more normal levels, I definitely want to give this area another try. The bite was few and far between. I fished both the murky water coming into the bay and also went into the covers where the water had better visibility but was stained by the flooded timber.
