Default First trip across the river!

Had a good time. I gotta say Mississippi is beautiful. Having never been past southhaven i had no idea what was down there or what to expect. Started Thursday morning and within a couple hours we were slamming em. Couldn't tell ya the number or 12" and under fish we threw back. They would have been in trouble here in Arkansas. Did most of the damage that day. Friday it rained till about 3:30. Think we ended up with 6 crappie and a few cats that day. Wind killed us Friday and Saturday. 10 crappie 3 white bass and a cat on Saturday. Cant wait to go back with some decent weather. Pics are from Thursday and my half of the fillets. Thanks for looking.

Great catch and glad you enjoyed your southern trip. However, be careful, fishing those lakes can be addictive. I developed somewhat of a habit of visiting some of those locations after living in Jonesboro a few years.

Sounds like a good trip. Like RL stated it can get to be addictive. If you live in NE ark it is closer to Sardis than Dardanelle. Like cooler said each trip gets closer. If you buy a Corp ramp pass it's time for Crappie Anonymous

Sardis, Enid, or Grenada? I missed it if you said. Just curious. I want to go sometime this year but not sure which is best or which has best camping.

    Good job! Thanks.
