Default Confessions of a Crappie Addict

I was a good kid. You know, definitely not an angel, but I wasn't out robbing banks or anything. Great parents, family, that whole deal......
Then it started. One weekend I went on a camping trip with my grandfather, and we did......(silent sobbing)...yo-yos. I cant even remember how many, but it was a lot. It is all a bit of a blurr, but I remember getting up the next morning and there was Crappie everywhere! I mean practically hanging from every tree! From that moment on I was hooked. It continued on like this for several years, but it wasnt always yo-yos. Sometimes we would use rods and reels, and thats when things would get really crazy.

I didnt think I was doing anything wrong. Heck, he did it almost every day, and he was fine. But it wasnt long before my fascination turned into a full blown Crappie addiction. I found myself buying more product than I could ever use, just so I wouldnt run out. Once, I took an entire week off of work just so I could do yo-yos.......

It just goes downhill from there. Eventually, I realized that I had a problem and I turned to the interweb looking for answers. I came across a site called Crappie dot Com, and while it didnt cure my Crappie addiction, it put me in contact with other LOSERS who are just as hopelessly addicted as I am. Now instead of aimlessly wandering around the store looking to spend my next dime, I just log in to C.C and in just a few minutes I know exactly how I am going to spend my next paycheck!

Thanks Crappie dot Com for lending some guidance to an old Crappie addict!

Well said Chris. Sure was hoping to get down for the Conway gathering, but that's opening weekend of Turkey Season. Its funny how you see people use this site to gain advantage/information and then complain how the internet is ruining "their" lake or crappie fishing in general. Pffttttttt I say, best just enjoy life and live day to day. I am greatful for this site as well and you couldn't have phrased it any better.

    You've fished with me once.

Do it two more times, and you will be insane. I absolutely promise. And I'll even let you wear an orange life jacket. And I'll net your fish.

But no more therapy. Clearly, mine did NOT work!

Chris I'm glad you didn't take up golf!! And I appreciate you helping me get a fix today. We came home with a mess of crappie, but not close to getting into the Lake Conway hall of fame, unless it's for the strangest boat on the water today, got a lot of looks and questions. Thanks man, see you in a couple weeks.

Any time bud. It was a tough bite today for sure. Good job catching a few. I was trying to meet up with you but you kept out-running me.

Not sure about that RCC. If I fished half as bad as I play golf, I would......uh......nevermind.
