Just the thought of parasites and even slight possiability scares me off! :yikes I'LL TAKE MY SUSHI DEEP FRIED !:twocents
Im with Nimrod!!!! Me and Wife love Sashimi and eat it often but nothing that lives in fresh water. I do know about the Lime but will not take the chance on it with fresh water fish other than cooked. We do use Lime Juice on raw shrimp that is really good!
We have some mexican friends that do fish this way. I ain't eating uncooked meat of any kind.
Speaking of worms, the last sheepshead I kept, after catching it off of the bank of the gulf of mexico, had big handfulls of worms in it. I've released them ever since. They pull good on those crappie and bream poles. I have eaten them before and never noticed the worms.
Here is what Chris and Kent will be needing next. Notice it's for "the big dogs". :Rofl

Wow , some how the chicken thigh I'm eating doesn't taste so good just now!
Some folks are crazy about bbq Raccoon , I used to hunt and trap for furs. Skinned lots of them and even sold the meat sometimes. Don't remember the times worms crawled out of the leg joints. Still can't get that image out of my mind when someone even mentions eating Raccoon! :puke:puke:puke
Thanks for all the replies about worms fellas. My wife has inspected every bag of fish we have now and scheduled doctors appointments for me her and the dog lol
If y'all think worms in fish are bad, have you seen a nasal bot in a deer's sinus cavity? If not google it. Purdy groose! First time I saw them I was helping a wildlife biologist with some herd health samples on deer and one of them was absolutely infested!
That is just one of many parasites that invest Deer. Countless ticks , intestinal Worms , and Liver Flukes. Ever see a Deer liver with Liver Flukes in it ? yuk! Probably not a fish or mammal that does not have atleast one but most likely several types of parasites feeding on it. Oh yea including humans!:yikes
