I've never fished there, but I've had friends who did very well. I don't know of any guides there. You would probably have to go to Norfork or Greers Ferry for that.

Hello, family and I are staying in Cherokee Village for a week next month and would like some advice
1. Do the 7 lakes at Cherokee Village offer good fishing?
2. Recommend a guide for a nearby lake if that would be a better option
We want to catch crappie and blue gill mainly but would not be opposed to a nice catfish later in the evening. thanks for any suggestions.

a few miles south of cherokee village in the little burg of horseshoe bend is crown lake nice big brim and crappie and after a rain at the whistles is darn good catfishing. had the pleasure of fishing there couple times did real well
I have fished a couple of the smaller lakes there from the bank. Was mostly bass fishing but caught a lot of small ones. Saw a lot of bream on beds but didnt try to catch 'em. Thunderbird I think is the big lake there and I have heard it too has good fishing. If you are planning to fish from the bank on the smaller lakes, be sure you spray what you are going to wear with permenone the night before and check yourself afterwards, plenty of ticks up there. You should be able to catch plenty of fish though without going off anywhere else.
last i heard thunderbird and the other is private
you can fish there is you are staying in the village. either have to be resident or a guest is my understanding.
In this heat and trying to pick a lake as to catch fish I'd pick spring river to fish.
There are some really nice catfish (20 + lbs) in jjust about any of the lakes in Cherokee Village. BUt I would also try the Spring River for trout. With all this heat, it would be a nice trip. Go to Mammoth Springs and cross the railroad tracks to Dam 3. Get there very early though, the canoes start coming down about 8 or so. Or wait untill afer lunch and most of them are gone. Norfork is going to be your closest lake as far as a guide. Oh and you could go to Calico Rock and fish White River with a guide for some spectacular trout fishing. South Fork at Saddle has some nice smallmouth fishing. Up in the hills like that, the rivers and streams are your best bet this time of year.
