I know this is a dumb question, but I have always either fished with just a minnow on a hook, or a plain jig with tube or maribou.

If you "tip a jig" with a minnow, are you just using the jig head with a minnow, or are you putting the minnow on with the tube or maribou?

Also, do you hook from the back or the lip when "tipping"?
