Default Kaint Ketch No Crappie on Lake Conway

So on Sunday, I went fishing on the Arkansas River. Put in at Murray Park ramp in Little Rock. Fished the rock banks bout 15/20 ft. out in 8/12 ft. water bout 4/5 ft. deep. Used a white head jig (1/8 ounce) with a sparkled chartreuse 1 1/2" tube. Fished from 7 am to 11:15 am, single pole with a bobber. Couldn't keep em off my pole. That big em was hard to get in the boat. Missed about 8 more of the 14" brownies. Just one sorry fisherman

Still no crappie, but those bass and bream sure do like crappie jigs.

Going to Dano's at Gold Creek tomorrow and we shall see.

Those are not Brownies but Spotted Bass or as some call Kentuckies. We catch lots of them in most streams and most lakes . Looks like you caught plenty for a good meal .

grew up in Newport fishing the white and black rivers with my dad - big time doodle socker. love crappie, but never pass up a mess of green card and bream. old man now at 65, retired, help me catch some crappie.

carp, not card, perhaps a touch of old dude dementia, hehehe.

Busy fishing with friends from Ohio this week and Deer hunting next week. Get you some NIMROD specials (Southern Pro umbrella tubes and 1/8 oz jig head ) and try Nimrod lake .
