Hello fellow anglers,
Bottom line, looking for some help on fishing near Hot Springs for retirement.
I'm close to retirement after a long career as a Pharmaceutical sales executive. Born in the NE, been is TX, AZ, CO, and now in Louisiana. I love the Hot Springs area to retire, seems like a little of the NE landscape with the South Sportsman paradise. I'm on first base here, love to White perch fish, like to bow hunt. I would like to take a trip up there soon, maybe have breakfast with an experienced crappie fisherman, ( I'll buy) maybe bring my boat up and get some advice. Desperate for help to make a life decision. Any takers?

Go online and check Hot Springs Village, my wife and i bought there six year's ago planing for retirement and also had a bunch of friends and relatives buy and they love it. We are not full time residents yet but the fishing area is wide and far, i have fished numerous lakes and i think the fishing is the best, you can also look by lake Hamilton it is also very nice. I travel to Hot Springs about eight times a year right now but we plan on moving sometime in the near future, downtown HS is one great city with so much to do and it does get a little hot in the summer and in the winter you get ice storms but hey the winter only last about a month or so. The wife and i spend the first two weeks of Dec there and this year people were walking around in t-shirts and shorts and i've been there when we had cold weather in Dec but all in all what a great place.

I'm in Hot Springs all the time picking up boats at the Xpress plant. It's a beautiful area for sure, and I have lots of friends I can introduce you to so you'll feel at home sooner. You will be close to some phenomenal fishing opportunities there. All species.

I live in Malvern and love Hot Springs good fishing and not too far to the delta if you want to fish the oxbow lakes and cypress trees instead of the clear water lakes near here
