Saturday 1/3/2014 SMACKDOWN

Had my cousin down for the weekend to duck hunt. The duck evaded us so we went to my reservoir to wet a hook. It turned out AWESOME! It was raining hard and we were miserable, but had a fast bite to keep us warm. Caught every fish in 3 fow under trees next to the bank. After that, went home to try out my new grill, a few New York Strips, squash, and garlic biscuits! Finished it up with home made blueberry cobbler topped with ice cream! I would say we salvaged the nasty day! Caught 21 crappie, 24 bass and 2 bream. All caught on orange and chartreuse and electric chicken. Got the whole trip on my cousins new gopro, but he just learning how to use. I will post it if I ever get the opportunity too.

Great job. Beats what we did. Caught only 3 Saturday morning . Finally threw in the towel and went home to celebrate my grandsons 3rd birthday. Hotdogs don't compare to steaks though.

We'll definitely do that again, had a great time last time. But it's got to warm up a bit and water clear up some too. Rain will eventually help but for now it's slowed some places down. In the meantime you better get your ducks killed while you can. Probably too much water now, at least that's what I would blame it on if the ducks don't cooperate.
