I'm gonna leave this thread up, but you all need to know that there is a fine line between advertising and letting people know about something cool they ran across. Advertising on the site is plain and simple "not allowed". If we allowed it, the site would be riddled with nothing but ads. There are a couple exceptions. If you have personal items, you can post about them in the state forums and link to the Classified ads forum for pricing to be there. The other exception is, "Member Sponsors" can place an ad in their signature. Actual ads can be posted by them in the Member Sponsor Classified Ads forum.
These rules have been developed over time and its the only way we've been able to keep the posting of advertising in check. We are not perfect, and we miss stuff, so we need everyone's help. When you see something that looks like an ad, please report it. There is a little triangle with an exclamation point in it below every post. Click on that and it'll tell us about the issue.
Also, if your post has been deleted because it has been considered advertising, please do not take offense. Please contact me to discuss the issue and we'll work something out.
It never even crossed my mind that the gift of a quality product and sharing that info would be considered advertising, and I'm somewhat of an expert on advertising. [emoji12]
