I had a lot of dinks (about 20), but had 8 "keeper" fish, and i use the term loosely. (NO HOGS) Had a great day, the wind blew a lot harder than I thought it was supposed to, also. but I wound up catching most of my fish on these swimbaits (in the photo). These are tsunami swim baits, and I like using them when they are wanting minnows. It keeps me from having to buy them for pole fishing. I was tight-lining with about 1 1/2 feet of line out, fishing in 1-2 ft of stained water. Name: swimbaitpic.jpg

My 2 biggest fish were only around 11 inches. but, I got a mess of fish out of the deal, and we'll have fish for a family of 4 (me & the wife + 2 kids).

Great , every trip does'nt need to be a haul. If it was there would be no fish in short order. Most important is to have fun. Next, it is great to catch enough for supper! Thanks for sharing the pictures and info. The bigger fish have been slow for me at Nimrod too, just catching them alot deeper here.:D

Thumbs up Nothing wrong with them fish!

That is a nice mess. I would take that any day.

I went duck hunting this morning and the fog was terrible! It was just as bad at 10:30 when we left as it was at 4:30 when we started! Knocked one down and lost him.

Came home and fished the neighbors pond for about 35-40 minutes and caught 6 small "georgia giant" bream. Felt good just to have a tug on the end of the line!:D

Nice catch Randy. That size fries up a lot crispier than the big ones anyway! Just getting out and getting dinner if you can is what it's all about!

Just some more info on the day yesterday, started around 830, and fishing was real slow. Water temps started off @ 54 degrees, progressed up to 57 by 3pm. Also, I caught the bulk of fish off of a beaver hut. Got at least 6-7 fish off this 1 spot. Half were throwback dinks, but I had at least 3 of the so called "keepers" from that 1 spot. Also, got most of my bites between 1-2pm. They really turned on for that hour or so. I really had to work to get out of that wind. I also started the day w/ a roadrunner w/ black & chartreuse, & switched to those swimbaits.

I slipped off work a little early today and ran over to Tri County Lake. (Bout 10 miles from my house). I caught one keeper right off and about 15 min before dark, they turned on.. the little dinks did anyway. I caught 6 crappie and 2 green carp. I know there are some decent ones out there, but I just have to find them. I ended up turning them all loose. Not enough meat there to stink up the grease good.
