My tips flop a bunch, but I've never had a single issue. My tips stick out about 4-5' from the rear rack.

If you don't have a rack like this and tips are close together get some of these and wrap your tips together about a ft from the tip eye. I used to have problems with them slapping together and broke a couple of tips because of it. No problems since I started wrapping them.

I have a Lowe Stinger 195. I rarely ever net a crappie, have noticed if I just go ahead and swing em in i loose less. Seems everytime I get a slab pappy on and try to net it, it ends up getting off at the surface. I have swung fish in over 2lbs with the 14 footers i have now. Poles I have now are ok, but I want to upgrade! Mine are perty darn big and heavy, but ya have to be TRYING to break one of those bad boys. So now I will have 2 different kinds! Thanyou all for yaws help! This site is awesome and saves me money from buying things i wouldn't be satisfied with.

i use these little wire ties to keep rod tips secure in transport to prevent tips from bouncing and banging against each other, you can buy em at home depot or lowes Attachment 183871Attachment 183872

LowePro are you gonna be spider-rigging or pull cranks? If you are gonna pull cranks I would recommend you look at the Wally Marshall Troll Tech. I guarantee you that you can swing a slab in the boat with a 16'er I swing them in with my 18'ers.

I got 3 16ft troll tech I will sell been used twice !!!

I use what Cray has . just have to get extras as sometimes forget to put em up and they blow out. Cheap, and easy-to-use

16' pst's, and I spider and pull cranks. 17' boat and 3 'hanging out the back, they slap coming over the big bridge!!

I will be spidering and cranking with them. Or at I hope they can be dual purpose rods.
