Lake Atkins report

Well I've visited Lake Atkins the last 2 Saturdays and here is what I've found..... NOTHING!!! I did not mark one shad in the deep water near the Damn. No fish, no shad. So, I started graphing around the flats to 6feet deep, found some scattered small shad schools but not the biomass that should be around, so I went up into the shallow pockets and pad stems, still very few bait fish. Conclusion..... The biomass of shad that up till 2 weeks ago had lots of fish grouped up into the deep water around the damn have scattered throughout the lake thus scattering the crappie. Did catch a few around brush tops in pockets 7-10 ft deep and those were caught on jig and cork 2ft down. Water temps were 48-52 yesterday.
