I prefer orange, I can see it from 200 yds away and move in full throttle, and shut her down 30 yds shy of buoy. Then get to know others by fishing while trading paint.
Just kidding.

Tip number 19. When using a marker buoy in sub freezing weather and dropping it the second or more times make sure the previously wetted line has not frozen. If it has, the marker will sink. The warmer water temps will cause the string to thaw and unroll after you have left the area, leaving a pretty orange marker for those that can't find their own fishing holes.
I have painted some of mine black too. But here if you get away from a bouy some guys think they're lost and pick em up! Billbob and I watched a couple boys pick one of mine up while we only couple hundred yards away. After confronting them they said it floated in there. Guess the brush pile the weight was stuck in floated in there too!.
Yup good tip Rcc in lost one on the pool that the wt didn't come off the Bouy and she sank to the bottom a while back lol.
Thx for the tips.
