Default A Special Deer in the Ozark Mnt's

After two past seasons of no hunting due to poor eye sight the doctors were able to restore my vision to be able to hunt again. Myself , My daughter, and Son In-Law entered the Ozark Mnt's and hunted. With thousands upon thousands of acres I have always enjoyed Mn't hunting and it felt good to be in the woods again with my daughter hunting. We went in with just a truck, our feet, no baited holes, no shooting lanes, and no stands. It was about as fair chase with a rifle as you can get. I sat up on a Mountain Cliff over looking a draw from a creek, when suddenly a pack of does appeared in 35 plus MPH winds. The wind slowed just enuff for me to hear foot steps coming my way. I took the shot at 30 yards. Yes just an average size doe but a special deer for me after two years of not hunting. A fun day with the family and I found out today I still have some hunt left in me. A special deer indeed. Tight Lines

Sure is nice getting back out and then getting a deer is icing on the cake. I'm happy for you that you were blessed to be able to hunt again. Been there done that. Ferdi

There is something to be said about fair chase. Way to get it done.
