as everybody says... depends on how deep you are fishing and what type of cover. That's why you gotta have several.
So say fishing 20-30 deep y'all would prefer 11 rear seat over 10? I was ready to pull the trigger on 2 times. I imagined Theyed be lighter and more sensitive. Usually fish double rig 1/8 jigs with 2 bb split shot
11ft is just as sensitive as the 10ft the 11ft is not quite as limber but u can control a large fish better because of better back bone, 10ft are to whimpy for me! !!!!!
Yep you got it... Its simple physics really when you got a tiger by the tail in shallow cover with 2-3 foot of line hanging off the tip you better have a rod that bows to the Silver King of fresh water or they will teach you a lesson about leverage and pressure. 11 footer yes in deeper water none better IMO.Quote:

If you are wanting sensitivity or backbone, the 10' Ozark is not the rod you are looking for. I bought into the hype and got one last year. I ended up selling it about eight months later. It is whippy, and I believe you lose sensitivity with a whippy rod due to the soft tip absorbing some of the shock of the bite, especially a lite bite. When jigging in thick brush, you need to be able to get em out of there quick before they wrap you up. Or when jigging Cypress trees, you need a rod that will give you a quick hookset without having to lift the rod way up into the branches. I agree that you need a softer tip for fishing shallow cover, but not one that is going to turn into a pretzel. A friend gave me one of the new Duck Commander rods and it is perfect for that type of fishing. It has a soft enough tip for finessing them out of the pads without ripping their lips, but enough backbone to pull em out and swing them in the boat.
