Default Trout fishing on little red below lobo landing

We will be staying about 1 mile below lobo. Never fished that part of the river. Any advice would be appreciated. Staying at the Dunham house.

The first shallow shoal below lobo has always been good for me. From Above it to the first dock below it

We will be sampling the Little Red River all week. Tonight we were at JFK. We saw some good ones! The largest was an 18 pound brown trout. I will post a picture when I get it off the camera tomorrow. This time of year the big trout are on the move to the shoals. The peak of the brown trout spawn is normally around the end of the month. The trick is too get them to bite! If you are after some rainbows, you can catch them just about every where. Good luck!

18 pound 32" brown trout sampled (and released) near JFK park on the Little Red River. It was a very foggy night so the picture isn't that great. Pictures never due justice for big fish!

Looks like you need to bring your big cat fishing rod for the trout.
