    Default Lake Master Cards

Im from dewitt arkansas. Frm what I have seen the Mid-South Lakemaster card is the card that I need to purchase. The list says it has the following lakes:

    Arkabutla, MS
    Sardis, MS
    Sardis, OK
    Fort Gibson, OK
    McGee Creek, OK
    Carl Albert, OK
    Ponca, OK
    Travis, TX
    Lake Houston, TX
    "Plus Many More"
What is the "Plus Many More"???? I cant find that list anywhere. Out of all the lakes listed, Sardis MS would be the only one I could use the card for. Are there no lakes in arkansas mapped out? I fished with a guy lakemaster that had greers ferry on, but cant find out which card that is online. That would be another lake i would fish seldom, but some. Just trying to find this info out to decide if im going to buy a lakemaster card, or chartplotting software, or both. Just need more info, the humminbird website is either difficult to navigate for me, or all the lakes arent listed. Im pretty computer illiterate, so this may all be on me. lol.

I'm with you LP! I'm looking to buy a chip myself but they don't cover most of the lakes that I fish. I have two Onix units so I can map the lakes with Auto Chart Live but when we go out I start fishing instead of driving the needed patterns to get a good map. I'm charting while I fish but I'm not covering enough of the area to get a really good map. I can go back and finish the maps over the winter if I will just do it.

If they cant be made while fishing, i doubt i could ever sacrifice the time to do it myself, i never stop. I go straight from fishing right into hunting. Man that sux because that is a really cool feature, i guess i will just never get to use it. Fished today, and realized just how much easier staying in a channel would be if i had a chip! Its not impossible to do tho, because I had an outstanding day, but sure would make things alot more pleasant! Maybe in my lifetime all the lakes in arkansas will be on it and i make the investment then. Or maybe they can make custom cards saying we have all these different lakes. Choose any 5 that you fish and we will put those on a card and send it to ya lol!

You can chart the lake while you are fishing which is what I do but to get the most detail you need to make crossing patterns. I have got some decent details while spider rigging but when pulling and pushing cranks I learned the hard way not to make tight turms unless you enjoy spending time untangling lines or re-rigging them! Lol! I just need to go back to the areas I have fished and make some crossing patterns to add more detail. I hope to better use my Terrova with follow the contour after I get some maps made.

I hear you on the hunting! I spend lots of time bowhunting and green timber duck hunting on our land at Ethel, AR. If I'm not there I'm on the White River Refuge but I still have to feed my fishing addiction to during the fall and winter months! Ha-ha!

Sounds good! I'm in the phone book plus I will pm you my cell number. We have mainly been fishing in MS lately but I'm wanting to try some of the NE and north central LA lakes. Got tired of fighting the darn gar on the refuge we haven't fished there much the past 2 years.

Yes! but not as good as last year. We have fished Lake Lee and Washington the most and have been to Lake Ferguson twice. First trip was excellent but got caught in the thunderstorms the past weekend. Fished Sardis some last year but haven't been this year. We were supposed to fish Enid or Grenada with John Harrison last weekend but backed out because of the rain. Plan to do that next weekend. Thinking about trying Tunica Cutoff this weekend.

I can fish all day day in the rain but can't hang when it is lightning.
