Guys I have had to take a break from the site for a time. There has been a lot of negativity on here in the past from several folks. You know who i am referring too. It takes a lot of effort to get a camp going and collect sponsors. In the past I have tried to get new sponsors for the site and camp by using there products and giving reviews. Some one always seems to have negative comments when I have done this. I am not sure what the motive has been or reasoning behind there actions. Statements have been made "why are you talking about this product when they aren't a sponsor". I never knew that the site is limited to sponsor only discussion.
How would you feel as a sponsor to pull up a web page and see what has been written in past by folks on here. Would you want to contribute "free items" to the same parties??
What happened to the good old days of posting pix without having to give away where you fished. Does nobody enjoy seeing and reading about the trip or experience any more? Threats have been made to myself in the past and I have heard of other members because we have not posted or told of fishing locations and for publishing fishing spots.
For many reasons stated above and more, I cannot fulfill the obligation to head up a camp in the spring. I hope that the negative attitude that has been portrayed by many changes and we can get back to just fishing. I too am guilty in the past for saying things that I Shouldn't have and apologized for them. The spring camp requires a lot of time to coordinate and organize. I hope every sponsor this spring received a thank you letter from me and I hope they will continue to support the camps. For now I am choosing to spend time with my family and fish when I can. The spring camps are a good time and I hope someone else will pave the way forward. God bless and tight lines.

First off I have not been able to attend a crappie camp. But I still thank ALL of those who have made them possible! I have missed your post and pics. Second I have never met you or talked with you but I can tell that you are one HECK of a crappie fisherman/sportsman! The way you can go to lakes you have never laid eyes one and catch crappie is somthing to be proud of! I think the ones who are negative might be a tad jealous? Just saying... Keep up the good work brother and don't let it get under your skin!
I have not been a member on here long but have really enjoyed reading your post JW. I hate to see how things went down and would love for this site to be what it use to be.
I understand where you are coming from man. With that said I think you need to weigh the friendships you have made here against the folks that have been negative toward you in anyway, you will find that the friendships truly outweigh the other by a long shot.
You did an awesome job last spring with the camp in ARK, that camp was second to none, heck I got a thank you and don't even remember sending sumpin, but it was appreciated. Turn the reigns over to someone else this next spring but don't turn your back on the folks that do care and you have made friendships with.
Sad fact is that in this day and age folks take it upon themselves to gripe about things that they don't intend to have anything to do with or just want to reap the benefits and not work to make it better. Happens day in and day out, we have seen this with our tourneys in MS but we are still growing. We took on the attitude that it would grow and be strong no matter the haters.
Tell Little Bit I said HI and am looking forward to seeing her on the lake!!!
