2010 Alumacraft fishing boat
Welcome back Chuck. Sorry for your loss. A man has got to go fish after all that. You'll find what you want, I always say "patience pays" don't get into too big of a hurry. When I do, I usually get burned. If you find a boat, glass or aluminum, and it has any wood in it, better check it closely for rot, especially a fiberglass boat. Sometimes it can be hard to find under fiberglass. And have someone knowledgeable check out your motor, a bad one can be very expensive now a days.
You are right about used rigs being hard to find...I am checking out a 1986 tracker 17 V...It has a 50 hp mercury on it....The boat has been garaged, and actually looks better than some I have seen that are a lot newer. The wood is all solid, and the seats and carpet look almost new...Owned by a little old maid school teacher that only fished after church on Sunday....The motor has tilt and trim. and looks new...I will try to get it on the water this week end...If the motor is junk I will just buy a new one, and still get off cheap..
