All joke aside this small crappie came out of a white bass I caught yesterday so if we have a smallest crappie contest I win. Another reason to hate white bass.

You do win. It takes SKILL to catch a tiny crappie, man. Any of you guys can catch the big ones. Hooking a tiny one is hard.

X2 on the white bass. Eradication needed.

I was crappie fishing on Brewer, couple days ago and I picked up a bass about that size and it had a minnow in its mouth about half way and the minnow head was stuck in its gill I guess it just choked to death, I felt the ones that spawned this year would be bigger than that. How fast do they grow.

That's pretty cool other than the fact he came out of a white. Heck I thought I had a small one today but think you will hold this record for a long time!!!

If your so fish hungry your cleaning White Bass , I bet the guys on here will sent you a care package of Crappie fillets. Seriously everything eats young Crappie but it does look like a late hatch. Our Shad here are about 2'' and everywhere , that should make ours grow if the floatilla of spider riggers leave any . I can understand why Crappie numbers stay low in those clear lakes like Greers Ferry with all the predator fish and not many places to hide. Thanks for the photo , Oh yea , are you having it mounted ?

I did not clean it nimrod, it spit it up when it came in to the boat. He swallowed the crankbait too deep so I'm sure he died after I threw him back.

Creek you'll have better luck thinning out them Crappie eaters if ya step on them when removing the hooks. You don't want any fingers getting finned or hooked. They make good tomato fertilizer just like the green ones.
