Default Hey D10 scoliosis in fish?

Caught this one over the weekend. I noticed it had a funny shaped back when I caught it. Then I found out why when I fileted it. Scoliosis?Name: 1405994972548.jpg

It could be a birth defect that the fish was born with or it could be the result of an injury. We see quite a few fish with abnormalities to their spine. I would guess that most are due to an injury at an early point in their life. Thanks for sharing.

I have caught fish of several species that had short bodies and or curved spines. We dressed a couple Catfish last weekend that tail end was short like a midget . Crappie , Bass, Catfish , and others show up deformed here from time to time.
