Awesome catch!!! Hey, if a man wanted to get all the gear to pull crankbaits what all would he need. I want to get into this, but wanna get into it right, with no wasting money on gear that doesnt work properly. When I first started spider rigging I spent alot of money getting started buy buying stuff that didnt work right, and then having to buy all new gear again. It was trial and error, and I know thats how ya learn, but on a subject that has the potential to cost as much as this one, I'd rather get tips before I start buying. What is everything a man would need? Crankbait styles/colors/brands/rods/reels/lines/etc? I already have down and side imaging graphs, and tightlock black widow trolling pods.
I hear there is a guy with a black boat like yours that has a pretty good setup, you might ask him!:bash
You need to contact Creekslick. He is, without a doubt, "Mr. Crankbait Puller" on the Arkansas Board! I think Mississippi too! He can get you started out right, for sure. My advice to you is go ahead now and have your house appraised now because the bank will want that when you take out a second mortgage to get the money to buy your equipment! :yikes
Lowepro, I agree with ski trip, creekslick is the man. My setup isn't optimal because I did it on my own and as cheap as possible. Now I'd like to have some new poles, however the one's I have work. There is a pulling cranks 101 thread, I think on the Mississippi forum, that is a wealth of information. Maybe we can go fishing and I'll show you what little bit I do know.
