Happens more than most think. Crappie have a big mouth and when hungry will eat about anything alive that will fit. I have posted where they ate their own kind. Seen them with Bream and Yellow Bass hung in their mouths. Thanks for posting photo.

Yea I caught a big green carp (about 6lbs) one time by about the craziest method I know of. I had a worm on bream fishing. I set my rod down and was messing with something else. I look up and the rod is bowed over almost double. I had caught a huge bream and the big bass came up and ate the bream. He had him all the way down his gullet when I got him in. I gave the line a little jerk and the bream came out with the hook still in his mouth. The bass had not been hooked at all.

Also Ive always heard a 5 lb bass can eat a 1lb bass. Dont know if thats true or not.

I've caught big Flat heads that swallowed smaller Channel Catfish (3lbs) ! Once swallowed the spines keep them from spitting them out.

Lol! I have heard stories like this. A couple of years ago, I stood on the dock at the JFK park on the Little Red and watched a 15lb Brown chase down and swallow a 4 lb Rainbow. He thrashed around for a few minutes trying to spit him out, but it was stuck pretty good. I lost sight of em, so not sure what happened.

A couple of years ago my dad was running his trot line at Greers ferry when they noticed what they thought was a bouy that had gotten loose. Wound up being about a 30lb dead catfish with about a 5lb walleye stuck in its mouth.
