Somedays I hold her purse, somedays I hold her fish. I just do what she asks me to do and all turns out OK

When I offered to hold the check, she said she could do that all by herself

Kidding aside, that's a nice fish! Proud of you guys for fishing the tournament, and for catching the second biggest fish! Hate to see you lose by 1/100th of a pound! Did you like tournament fishing? Prolly see you guys on the pro circuit from here on!

I have a new respect for all tournament fishermen. To be able to go to different places and catch fish in the conditions that are handed to them on tournament day is a pretty amazing feat. We don't plan on hitting the tournament trail anytime in the near future, but we are glad we got to experience it one time. The whole story is much too long to type in a short time, but I'm sure I will make an attempt at it sooner or later. We met lots of great people including a few of our own that were there. I learned several things from the pro's about fishing, and Carol and I were able to critique ourselves about the things we did wrong. What our biggest down fall was on Saturday is the pattern that we had figured out in the morning changed after the storm and when the sun came out. I suppose the biggest mistake I make is the unwillingness to make a change. At the end of the day, we had nothing broken on the rig except 6 pound mono and I considered that a win. I wish I could say that it was skill that caused us to catch a big fish, but honestly it was what we always do when we hit an unknown lake. Drop off the boat, and go fishing.
