    Default Black River Bay Reports

Anybody got any news on any of the Black River oxbows that are accessible to the public? Shirey, Robinson, Portia, Sunshine, etc? I went over the Black Rock Bridge Sun. and it was very high; Portia Bay was outside its banks. I am guessing that has messed up the fishing for at least a week? Has the spawn happened in those bays yet? Any report would be appreciated. I am moving away from NE AR in 2 weeks, and those are my favorite fishing places. I am really hoping to get to fish over there before we move.

    Thanks.

Was fishing em pretty hard up till the rain last weekend. Three weeks ago they were shallow and biting decent. Think the spawn is done. Water temps in low 70's. most females we cleaned had few eggs left. River is very high and that should shut it down for a while. I'm going somewhere else.

Thanks Dblevens; do you know about what you are looking for on Black River Gauge to know the river is out of most of the bays?

I watch it at Corning, cause most of my favorites are around there. It needs to be 5' to be about right. Not sure if that really helps you much.
