Well had the pleasure to take Ol nimble out on the road away from these Arkansas waters. We headed East and visited a few different Mississippi waters. We first hit Lake Washington for some single pole action. We onus the water high and muddy but managed to catch some good fish. I started out putting a hurting on him but he came back strong and caught more than I did lol. It was great to fish the trees as that was a first for me too. Not sure what he was talking about at Roy'a this morning as we ate breakfast lol!I know for sure it wasn't the size of the slabs we caught though. Also new on Washington is the tagged fish that are in the lake. I believe the fisheries is trying to learn more about growth rate and harvest maybe.
We left this body of water and headed north to fish another Mississippi lake. We were greeted with gale force winds but we fished on and caught some nice fish. This is the first time I have seen nimrod fish with a MINNER AND SPIDER RIG!!!! Yes you heard it right lol. He was great and quickly said how things have changed from dragging a cork around with a bunch of cane poles.
We had a great time together and it was even better seeing nimrod catch them thick slab fish. You guys don't poke at him too hard now lol.
We met up with BRM one night and had a good eat at a nearby restaurant.
Next morning me and nimble ventured back on the water and I did my best to put him on some fish in he 15-25 mph winds. My old express went airborne a few times on the big water but held her own and got us back and forth to the dock safely.
I wasn't long before we had 8 boats fishing sometimes a boat length away from us. We threw a out and even had em come and fish it. Man some of them folks were like vultures and we just chuckled about it though.
The next day found me and nimrod in BRM's blue bonnet. I played deck hand and net boy while enjoying watching them catch fish and shoot the bull!!!
BRM did his best to put old nimble on the big fish bite but the 25mph winds made it tough for sure. I was up and down letting chain out and drift socks in etc keeping them boys fishing. I am whooped for sure lol. Anyone need a deck hand I can be hired out lol. Got to see some nice fish boated by them two boys.
On an end note got to see the game wardens doing there job and catching folks with under sized fish. Thanks Marcus for great work
Hope everyone can get out and enjoy the great fishing opportunities we are blessed with around our great nation.

It was my pleasure to fish with and have Numrod and JW stay over at the lake house this weekend at Sardis. We fished hard, played hard, and I even cooked some of the fish we caught Saturday for em. It's what life is all about--Sharing the good times with your friends. We caught a few fish, but the great time I had can't be measured in the number of fish caught, but instead by the quality of the experience we all shared together.
It was my first time to really get to know CA, and it was well worth it!!! He's a great fisherman as y'all already know, but he's equally a Great person to get to know!!! CA, you have an open invitation to come back as often as you can!!!
Thanks again to both of you guys for a wonderful weekend!!!!!!
I have a bunch of pictures that will keep the memories forever Bill. I hope a. Are y'all a great deck hand lol. I had a blast just watching y'all both fish. I chuckled so many times my ribs are sore too.
