weather probably has them all lock-jawed with the high preasure that just set in.
I hope it will be getting better by the weekend.

I know several of you fish clear lake some. Went out yesterday afternoon. I have never seen the lake as muddy as it is, worse than the bayou! Water temps about 15ft off the bank are between 62 and 64 degrees. I did not get one bite, I tried every jig I have plus minnows and not a single thing. There was about 6 or 7 others I talked to that were not getting anything either. I fished shallows all the way to submerged cover in the middle with no luck. I finally gave up on trying and starting using the down imaging to see if I could locate anything. Found a few spots of what looked ot be baitfish, but still no crappie.

You Can Make a Difference!
I'm sure they will be tearing them up Saturday since I cant go, LOL. Got opening ceremony for ball games, team pics, then the 1st t-ball game at 1pm.
Got one of them next week to. Love me some mud bugs, 2012 Cajuns Wharf phat tuesday crawdad contest champion right here!

Fished Clear lake all my life. Quite few years back- cause of the yellow bass. Good friend lives in the big plantation home. Great memories!
Yellow bass are still there but not as bad. Bunch of locals are thinning them out. I ran yo yo's last year three times, released all the crappie and cats but thinned out the yellow bass population . 4 nights running three of us took care of over 200. They taste pretty good if ya cut that strip out and drink enough beer.
Say, we were catching some nice fish back in march. have'nt been lately though. Probably try them Saturday , but then again if you cant catch them may go to Nimrod. The fish at Clearlake should be up in the trees. I'll post a report Saturday night.
I think im gonna try em at Clear tomorrow too. Hopefully I will have a report with lots of pics.
Got to fish the afternoons. caught 10 Friday, and 17 Saturday. 2 to 4 ' of water, really started biting right at dark. Should of had some lights in the boat. Im not sure if the crappie were eating the mosquitos or if the crappie were eating the shad eating the mosquitos, but I could see the v wakes till it got to dark.
