Bearskin is private. Not sure about the one behind Cotham's but my guess would be it's private also.

Anybody know if this is a private lake? Anybody ever catch any Crappie out of it? I've never been and im looking for something new to try out. Don't want to drive out there if I cant get in. Any help would be appreciated.
Also wandering about the little lake behind Cothams. I think I've heard some people call it Horseshoe. Is it private?
Thanks again for any help I can get.

Bearskin is private. The only way on the lake is thru one of the 4 or 5 people that own the entire perimeter of the lake. There are a lot of crappie out there, but they are on the small size.
It took me 4 years of living in Scott, and going to church with one of the land owners to get permission (sometimes) to fish Bearskin.
Horseshoe I hear is a little more easy to get permission to fish. But saying that, I have never tried to get on that lake.

I eat at Cothams frequently and have never seen anyone fishing it. Never. DP

There's a boat ramp past the horse ranch that you can pay $5 to launch in Horseshoe.
I've got an invite to fish bearskin this weekend and had herd the fish were small. I sure hope those rumors are false.
Hey LM is it a single pole Lake or can I Spider rig it?
