Old town lake

anyone have any good info on old town lake?

I fished Old Town last Friday after hearing how "everyone is tearing them up!". I caught 4 crappie, all males. Depth ranged from 1.5 feet to 4 feet. Water temp was 56-58 degrees. Wind was from 20 down to nothing by dark.

I never talked to anyone that had more than 3 fish. I'm not saying there's not some fish being caught, but if so, I didn't find them.

I thought the boat ramp told the story. When I got there, it was full and people were parked out along the highway. By 5 pm, there were 4 vehicles there.

If you go, I hope you find them!

I've been the past 2 weeks and like arkcrappie, I haven't done much good to speak of. It seems to me line it hasn't been near as good the past couple of years for crappie as in the past. I know they are there but I've fished that lake since I was old enough to sit on a boat seat and I've never seen it like it's been the past couple years. I hope it picks up soon. I hope you get into them and I look forward to your report.
