    Default Fuel Line

I was checking my motor over yesterday and noticed the fuel line going into the fuel pump was starting to split above the clip holding it on the pump. I came to the realization that my motor is 10 yrs old this fall. I am figureing that she is going to need some TLC and I dug a little deeper, but could find nothing other than the normal year to year stuff.

My question is wher ein the world does one find some of that fancy ethanol safe fuel line in the Little Rock area? I have seen some guys with the neon green fuel line, and they said it was ethanol safe, but mine don't need to be green, just ethanol safe.

Here in MS. Most of the auto parts stores have it. Try NAPA. Have not seen any green though.

You can buy it by the foot at most auto parts places or Arts sells it by the foot as well. Make sure and get the correct inside diameter to match your fuel connectors. Academy sells pre-fabbed lines as well and with all the Attwood stuff wal mart carries I wouldnt be surprised if they didnt have fuel lines.

The yellow/green stuff you referred to is tygon and can be bot per foot on ebay. I've used it for a few years without any issues on my carbs and internal fuel lines but not the ones exposed between tank and motor.

We use Tygon stuff at work for all sorts of chemicals, including alcohols. Now that I know of the material, I will more than likely get it.

You can google ethanol free gas. There is a web site that will list stations in your area.

Use ethanol free fuel only. The fuel line from tank to engine is a small problem compared to internal engine problems It will cause.

Ditto! Best thing is replace the lines and fuel filter now. You'll be surprised how stopped up it can get with the hose breakdown. I'd clean the whole system if it were me

CarCraft auto is where I have been getting the internal line for boat motors and mowers and such.

If the fuel line is bad might be good idea to replace the whole thing. That bulb and connections are next.

Linefrom tank to the motor were done last year. Motor runs fine, its just the lines inside the cowling look a little old (10 yrs). I thought I would go ahead and replace them before I get stranded, like when I was 4 miles down river from boat ramp in Cash River NWR and hose tore off from the bulb.
