Outstanding bunch of fish! I will make it a point to be over in Twinkle town in the next couple of weekends. I gotta chase some whitetails first.

Hey Gooch. I once lived in Okemah as a young man back in 1971. Then I got drafted. Still visit there occasionally when passing through. Have a couple of friends still there.
My wife's mom and dad are from the area. His last name is Hardwick and her mom's is Ott. Really nice bucnh of folks up there. I always get tickled with there water towers in that town. They have two side by side and one says HOT and the other says COLD. My wife said she was 10 before she found out that hot and cold water didnt come from different towers.Quote:

I was 18 years old and was on my to Colorado when my car broke down and ended up spending several days in Okemah waiting for parts. Ended up staying for several months. Work for Sam and Linda Wilson at the DX Travelmart. Still keep in touch with them. I lived right at the top of Broadway (600 block) -- rented from a wonderful old woman named Nettie Raney. LOL -- not a bad memory after 35 years.
Oh yeah, this board is about crappie fishing. Sorry. LOL -- I did catch a bunch of trout on the Little River over the weekend.
