If you're talking about Horseshoe at Hughes, a friend went last week and caught one fish trolling. Fished half a day. Didn't say which half. Been getting reports they were catching them off or around the piers. If the weatherman doesn't change the forcast I think it will crank up this week or next.

Horseshoe at Hughes is sssslllloooowwww. Water temp is 35. I fished most of yesterday and caught 4 decent fish and kept 6 more that were 10". I only saw one other person catch a fish. It needs a couple of weeks to get the water temp up in the 40's. There was ice on the water yesterday morning

Randy, the bite is so light right now it is ridiculous. I only had one fish that bit decently. Most bites are like you are dragging over a limb and just feels like weight. 40-42 degree water will help that a lot and the fish should get after it.

That's the second trip to the Shoe this year. Both times I have noticed the seagulls wearing the shad out. I guess with the lake freezing over in places, there has been a shad die off.

The water is a little low too. Be careful if you put in at Clydes because you can back your boat trailer off the end of the ramp and that would be bad if you did it.

Yeah it was fairly low the last time i was there. I guess the fishing has been tough everywhere (except conway and the pro's ). Come on warm water!! Thanks again Kent
