Randy, the bite is so light right now it is ridiculous. I only had one fish that bit decently. Most bites are like you are dragging over a limb and just feels like weight. 40-42 degree water will help that a lot and the fish should get after it.
That's the second trip to the Shoe this year. Both times I have noticed the seagulls wearing the shad out. I guess with the lake freezing over in places, there has been a shad die off.
The water is a little low too. Be careful if you put in at Clydes because you can back your boat trailer off the end of the ramp and that would be bad if you did it.
