Went on shake down cruise today

Been sick since day after Christamas but today I was able to go to Barnett. I bought a new 25 etec and due to being sick i have not even had the chance to fire it up much less actually get to use it fishing. In between boughts of hacking my lungs up I did manage to instal my new 4 rod driftmaster and got the boat ready to go.

Not knowing if everything would work I decided to go to Barnett. It's the closest place and if there were any problems I would not have driven very far.

Everything worked great except for the depth finder. Wouldn't even turn on so I put a couple rods in the holders and did some blind drifting. nada but at least my new motor ran like a champ. Came home and pulled an old Lowrance off the Skeeter. Replaced the el cheapo with it and I should be good to go.

Haven't made up my mind where I will try tomarrow but I'm going to try somewhere.

Barnett has some monster bass in it. We see at least one 10 pounder every year in our sample.
