I remember old guy say'n he used to fish huge standing Cedar trees there on Greers Ferry years ago. Nimrod and Blue Mt were clear cut before filling too. Interesting why most COE lakes were clear cut. Old timers told of being hired to cut huge trees (with crosscut saw) and burn before filling Nimrod.

Not that I know of! There are some trees washed in and stumps just under the surface on some channel drops. I've been present on several drawdowns and never seen one. Much of it was open fields before the lake built and all the trees along the creeks and woodlots cut down.

sorry about that. it was a joke. not a good one, but a joke. what I meant was they left some lower unit eating stumps. That lake is misleading,when it is low there are very large surface areas that look like open water. unless you know a little about that lake you better not open up that throttle
