Now that hunting season is over. I'm getting ready for spring and the crappie. Anyone else from over there lurking here too?
I'd rather be fishing.

The deletion of this thread is completely justified based on the rules I created, and the rules you all agreed to when you joined the site. So for that reason I say Creekslick did good, thanks creek.
But, if you base it on the intention of the rules when I created them, a post like this might be allowed and I'll tell you why.
The original rule is what pretty much every other forum has on their sites too. You can not link to other “related or similar” forums at all. The reason is, people use/abuse forums to launch their own forums, and that is true abuse. Or they try to steal members from one site to get them to another site.
So my interpretation is, I do not want to be a launching pad for someone else's fishing forum, and I do not want to fragment the Crappie fishing community. I want to join and keep the community together to make it bigger and stronger, right here on Crappie.com.
Now there are other fishing related forums that I have no problem with, namely sites like bassboat central, and Texas Fishing Forums. They are all fine communities an they have been around for a long time. Links to their sites are fine as I don't expect there will be active recruitment to their sites. We know about them, they know about us, it's all good.
I took a look at ArkansasHunting.net and I think they are fine too. They are primarily a hunting site and have no focus on crappie fishing. Therefore I re-opened this thread.
I thank you all very much for your support of Crappie.com. I hope I did not cause more confusion by this post. And if anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to PM me.
Thanks Slab. I'll not discuss the other site as it's not my intention to do anything more than try to connect with folks I know while I/we participate here.
I'd rather be fishing.
I like to hunt and fish in Arkansas, got my venison in the freezer and yes I am gearing up for the crappie fishing season too. Had snow on the ground this AM and 20 degree temps, hope the end of this week brings better fishing weather.
