Jeeze. I seem to have trouble getting this on the right board. Sorry.

CEB -- you're right about being scattered. Where I was fishing Sunday is where we have been picking up a few nice ones, but lately they've been on the small side. There's a small area there. It's either a sunken tree or maybe part of the rock pile you identified, I don't know. A neighbor who fishes way up the Little Maumelle told me last week they were starting to catch small ones and that the larger and more plentiful crappie would follow as they moved further up the river. I don't know how far up you've been, but once you go under the Pinnical Valley Road bridge, you begin to get into a lot cypress trees. Really beautiful and with the low water I've seen several bamboo condo tops sticking out of the water up there. The guy that operates the rather "odd" bait shop at the marina tells me November-April is the time for crappie upriver in the Little Maumelle.

We'll hook up soon, that is if you fish during the winter. I do as much as possible. Won't be there this weekend. Fran and I and going with another couple up to Lobo Landing on the Little Red River Friday night to spend the weekend trout fishing...and doing as little as possible when not fishing.
