Hey everyone new to the site and enjoy reading all your info. I'm from Jonesboro and Glad to be here. hopefully soon I can provide beneficial info as well. I do have a question about norfork. We have a place up there and mainly fish on our dock in woods point hand cove area. Does anyone spider rig up there? That is the way I grew up fishing at Sardis and curious because I haven't seen anyone fishing that way on norfork. It is truly the way I love to fish and looking for any advice on that lake. I go to Sardis when possible but family loves norfork for the recreational side and we all love crappie. I just want off the dock and in the boat.

Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
Norfork is not much of a crappie lake. It is deep and clear with very little structure. It is a good striper lake and large mouth. You will have to learn your electronic very well. Crappie will spawn in 10' of water sometimes with now structure. Try Brushy Creek and Bennetts Bayou where it meet the lake. I am saying you can not catch some, but it is harder than what you are use to. Good Luck.....roughneck

Welcome to the board. I can't help with Norfork. It seems all those big clear lakes beat me like a yard dog. Hope you catch a bunch of great big ones there and let us know how it's done.
Good luck

Watch your electronics espically in curves of creek just on the edge of channel stay around 15-20' watch for brush, big rocks, any type of cover!! Hard to find but when you find them some good crappie,Roadrunners 1/16 -1/8 oz(1/8) red/chart is hard to beat!!! 1/8 oz-3/16 oz leadhead red again,2 in -3 in pearl curly tail grubs,1/8 oz jighead,Midsouth 2 in crappie tube pearl!! Don't spider rig but cast and jig pole!!!!Hope this helps!! The owner of handcove boat dock catches a lot of big crappie if you can get him to tell you!!!

Thanks a lot for the welcome and advice. I will talk to guy at hand cove. I buy minnows there for our dock if we don't take any with us. It is a very humbling place on the crappie end that's for sure!! But when we do catch a mess off the dock they are awesome. Brushy creek is not far at all from me. Thanks.
