Don't know about the ice on ramp..........and I haven't been there.........but the river appears to be fairly normal:

Stay on Lake X, man. There's only so many million crappie in the river.

Hey, seriously, me too..........5 year old grandson will be gone Monday and I'm gonna head out somewhere.

I think you can launch at both. I have been seeing a few duck hunting boats at Cadron.

Careful of the limp wrists........IF they are out in winter, I dunno.....at Cadron Settlement. and remember, Conway owns that now, not COE.

Not sure you can get to the Cutoff from the river.........good luck if you are going to try that!!!

    Regardless, post pictures!!

They have a good ramp at the settlement park, think it is a three dollor launch. Got a report the river is up and rageing. Can be good crappie fishing and some of the biggest fish i have ever cvaught have been from that area. But I only fish it when the Arkansas is tame. My advice is dont go there right now. Be care ful if you dont know that area there are under water obstructions that can take you and your boat out of commision.

Thanks for info Russ, have fished the area many times. Have caught some big messes around there also. With all the rain this morning and that which is coming I have managed to convince myself to wait until next week
