I have been intending to go to those lakes and take pictures to show everyone how low the water actually is. I spoke with a friend of mine who lives on Horseshoe and he told me that he is dragging his boat about 75 yards to deeper waterIf we don't get alot of rain this winter, you can forget Horseshoe this spring. Midway will probably be right next spring.
I guess I'll be buying Mississippi licenses.
Last I heard, you could get a boat in at Strife's (sp?) old place with a good truck. Maybe not.
Although it does Horseshoe no good, the river must get into Midway eventually. Can you not launch at Fowler's?
Pox, you definitely need to go take some pics. You may find me a new honey hole out at Midway. I don't think I even remember what it looks like anymore. I've got to get back out there sometime.
Did you find any good holes the last time you were out there? I was back there around Thanksgiving, and it was the lowest I'd ever seen it. I can't even imagine how it might look right now, might be able to walk across the lake up by Ed's.Originally Posted by riverrunner
Chris, I read in the AG&F site today that at Horseshoe...probably Pete's old place...they have dug out the ramp more for people to launch. That has got my curiousity up.
