I have bee in the cove when a guy came in there on plane and I took quite a bit of water in over the back of my boat.

My uncle used to keep a 6' heavy action rod with 6lb mono on it with a 3 oz bank sinker tied on for this very type of situation.

Id be one hot little firecracker that's for sure You can tell ur true fishermen will come in on trolling motor before the bridge and I have ALOT of respect for y'all guys for doing so and even if a man don't have a Tm atleast putt it in there ... That leaving out on plane bs is for the birds it ain't my fault the fish are biting and that person still can't catch a fish to Dave their life

Why do folks run an outboard in crowded areas like that ? Shoot on lake X we used our trolling motor except loading boat on the trailer.

Just cast infront of them, across thier path, and let the line do the talking... as they are unwinding it from the prop hub.

What I see all too often are people coming by where your fishing and slow down but leave the nose of the boat up creating a tidal wave as they go by???? It's one of 2 things, it's either they don't know how a boat works or the are doing it intentionally. I'd much rather then just fly by keeping the boat up on plane if it's a big boat that way there's no wake cause there's no boat in the water to make one assuming it's a bigger boat that will run on top of some water. Sometimes I think they do that to watch what/how you are fishing and to be a jack$$$ all at the same time.

Livztofish Slabmaster I certainly owe you and the rest of the fishermen an apology. Crappie Greg did indeed let me know that I was in to close and inconsiderate. Although I certainly meant no harm to anyone and am certainly not new to crappie fishing. I am however inexperienced fishing in close to others and obviously screwed that up not having the equipment to steady the boat in the wind. I certainly felt bad about it and left the area after Greg mentioned that I bumped you and I almost ran into another fishermen. I do realize how I pissed everyone off and for that I am truly sorry. I hope those of you that I did piss off would except my deepest apologies as I do want to be considerate to any and everyone on the water and really did not mean any harm. I will insure I keep my distance in the future and am picking up a second anchor for my boat for windy days. Guess I could of spoke up at first and see if I was bothering anyone. Tedford I was not pissed about what I had done at all....I realized I screwed up....just upset being cursed at..... I don't think anyone enjoys that, I am not use to that as I am generally easy going and friendly. Sorry to my fellow fishermen.......and God Bless. "Any day fishing is better than any day of work"

Anyone can mess up. It takes a man to stand up and apologize if they do. Some on here are not man enough to do that, or are not considerate enough to know they have even messed up. I've looked at the situation there and when it gets crowded, I'm sure it could be a mess.

Super slab Yanker I know that your apology means a lot to them and also took a lot of gumption to openly apologize. The fact that nobody openly called ya out also says a lot to the offendee's. Fish on a maybe others will learn too from the post.

I had people ask if it was me cause I have a red boat. I answered nope I would have just asked to get in there boat lol. Glad to see ya apologize, now go catch some fish!

We have all made mistakes. It was good to see you stand up and apologize I know that wasn't easy to do after everything thats been said on here. Best of luck to you.

This is the approved method for fishing Piney. It always seems like an overloaded boat will slow down just enough to push a monster wake washing you all over the place then the wake will hit the bank and come back to get you again. I just wished they would use some common sense and stay on plane and get on down the water. Oh I forgot then they must turn around and do it all over again just as you are getting settled from the last pass.

Turtlebait, this wasn't about the fish per say but about boat control. Nobody wants another boat hitting them and scratching their boat up. Guess you don't mind parking in Wal-Mart and someone running their car into yours with no control/fault and you say nothing. The MAN at fault has apologized for his actions and appears to be working toward a solution. Deleting your membership over this, WOW!!!

You can delete your own membership. Don't open it up.
