Hey guys, I tried Overcup last weekend but it was bad slow so we quit fishing and started putting out some cane and brush. At least the water level is finally coming up! I'm thinking about trying Conway New Years Day but I haven't fished there since last year when we caught some in the stumps around Adams Lake. Is the water level stable and has the bite picked up since all the rain?
We also put some horizontal in concrete blocks and put them in some shallow places where we have caught them in the spring. I don't know if it will pay off but it will make us think they should be there!

I'll be glad when overcup gets good again. My mom and dad lived on over cup for 15 years and it got so bad they sold their place and moved back to Benton a year ago.
Slow bite caught 10 keepers yesterday. All on chart jigs with a nibble. Did not see anybody wearing them out. But hey you never know until you go.

Thanks Crappie Pro. We're going to give them a shot. I'll give a report, hopefully a good one, but hey any day fishing can't be bad!

I generally put 12-20 stalks per bucket. Your bucket on the left looks especially thin. They work well for water that stays deeper than they are tall. I would definitely go with Nimrod's suggestion if you're placing them in shallower water.

Well we tried Lake Conway around Arts Pond this morning and didn't get a bite. After lunch we went around and put in at Gold Creek. We fished under the bridges and up the creek to the cove. There were several boats but not a lot of action. We did see some guys pull in a few nice ones but we didn't have much luck and didn't want to crowd them. Several clouds of bait fish showing but couldn't figure them out so we left around 3:30. Does anyone know if the bite was better in the AM?
