I read on one of the other posts that someone suggested posting pics, I agree that if you are posting pics then more people will keep comming back to this board to see them. Yeah im one of the louisiana boys that don't shut up also but if somethings happening wether its having a baby or catching a boatload of fish, if you post pictures, someone is gonna reply to them. I know this is a Crappie forum but everynow and then it doesn't hurt to show a good catch of saltwater fish or catfish or maybe even a pic or your new boat or how you have it rigged up.
The way I post my pics: I upload from my digital camera to the pc and go to www.photobucket.com and upload there, once its uploaded you copy the link with the tags on them(the bottom of the three) and pasted it on your post.
For others, the moderator for the La board (labill) has put up and excellent post on how to post them. Click the link below and check it out.

Most people call them green onions, but they are really ---------?????
Hey I think puttin lots of photos on here is a big key. A picture is worth a 1000 words. I would love to see how other people rig there boats.
grizzly you need to get you a digital camera. they are great. you can take 500 pictures and only keep 2 if you want. oh yea. vcr is old news too. now they have a DVR. No tapes. I can hook a brother up if you need it.

jlaughlin is right about the posting pictures. Just a little experiment I tried, I posted a thread with some pictures and one without pictures and this is the results.
1.Thread with pictures-208 views with 8 replies
2.Thread with pictures-130 views with 2 replies
3.Thread with pictures-152 views with 8 replies
4.Thread with out pictures 95 views with 0 replies.
All of these post were from my saltwater adventures and none from crappie fishing so it really doesn't matter what you post (keep it decent) as long as you put pictures with it.
A picture is truely worth a thousand words.
Good Luck guys and I have noticed that the Arkansas board has had more activity on it. Good job guys/gals!

Boy I dont know what looks better that mess of fish or that sweet fish cleaning station. I wish I was the owner of both.Originally Posted by bobberwatcher
If Santa doesn't bring you a "digital" camera .... get yourself a scanner. They're pretty cheap, easy to use, and you can still post pictures from "film" camera's with them.Originally Posted by grizzly
I have both, and the pictures are decent enough from either. The digital camera pics are just "sharper". My digital camera plugs into my PC, and came with a photo upload program. I just use the camera's program to load the pics into a folder on my PC .... then, when I want to post them (and as a backup holding area), I upload them to Photobucket and from there to wherever.
My scanner is used to post pics of "film" camera pictures (from my pre-digital camera days) .... but, I can also put objects into it (like jigs or newspaper articles) and scan them, then upload those images to Photobucket and then post the images.
I don't know if a "card reader" is really necessary. Most digital cameras have a "connecting" cable (USB cable) and processing software ... all you need to put pics on your computer. Photobucket is a free hosting site, and pretty simple to use. I even have a short "video", taken by mistake, that's in my Photobucket album.Yep ... unknowingly had the digital camera button on "video", and handed it to my buddy to take a pic of me holding up a Crappie that I'd just caught from under a dock. Kind of surprised when I went to upload the "picture" ... and a video appeared ... LOL!! ... cp
