Default Update on wife's back condition.

Latest was a visit to a specialist in Tulsa who ordered an MRI and said he thought she had a ruptured disk at the L5 S1 area in her back. She seems to be doing a little better with PT but we are thinking now that the chiropractor isn't aggravating her back that may be the reason.
We traveled to the Danville area Saturday for family get together and between that and back to the house it seems to have aggravated her back more.

Hope she is better soon. Riding can be terrible with back trouble. I've had just a bit of really minor back trouble and I was miserable until I got over it.

We take our health for granted all too often RCC. While visiting family this weekend it hit me....My dad had 2 back surgery's this past Summer, I have an uncle who had hip replacement, I have 2 other uncles and an aunt with back troubles, my mom has knee troubles, and even I've had back troubles in the past.
I work in safety and stress to guys all the time get help, use equipment rather than your backs, stretch before straining to lift things, and many more helpful tips to save your backs.

I'm a diesel mechanic. We heavy haul utility poles all over the country and EVERYTHING on those trucks and trailers is HEAVY. Being an ag teacher for 9 years has really helped me with the safety bit. I try to take care of my back, but moreover than anything I take care of my eyes. You will rarely see me doing anything without safety glasses on anymore. They still can't fix eyes.

I hope your wife gets better. My wife has back troubles from being bucked off a horse. Cold weather and storms reek havic on her back.

My wifes cousin is a physical therapist here in Nashville. A REALLY good one. My wife went to a chiropractor (sp?) once and she had a FIT. Physical therapists DO NOT like chiropractors I guess. Said she has to fix so much that they do.

Hope you guys have a Merry Christmas, and her back doesn't give her to much trouble. Will be praying for her.
"But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 25:15

Prayers sent. I know first hand that riding in a car or just sitting is tough on the back. PT helped me when Chiropracter was making thing worse with my 2 bluging discs years back. I refused surgery but do good now without it.
